Our Tutors

Cambridge Coaching tutors are all enrolled in Harvard University and MIT’s top-ranked graduate programs. They are professional teachers, serving as Teaching Fellows for Harvard College or Teaching Assistants at MIT, and training to be university professors. Many of our tutors have won teaching awards from Harvard University’s renowned Derek Bok Center for Teaching. These awards are given annually to the best Teaching Fellows at Harvard College.

Method & Materials

We think the best study guide for the SAT is the SAT itself. Our study materials consist largely of questions that have appeared on past SATs. Simulated questions or questions written by test prep companies are invariably different from the actual SAT.

We devise a customized study approach for each of our students; we focus on a preliminary diagnostic test, drills for necessary focus areas, and a regular practice test schedule. Our primary materials consist of actual SAT exams released by ETS. Unlike other companies who write their own “simulated questions,” our materials prepare you for what you will see on test day. Between practice test dates, students concentrate on their weaker skills and we scrutinize their progress section-by-section and problem-by-problem. We make sure that they have raised their scores and maintained them before taking the official SAT. By the time of the SAT, each student has focused on his or her weak spots, while also maintaining a consistent test schedule.

Prices

There are many options to choose from. Our rates are based on the tutor’s experience with the company and his/her average success in improving students’ scores. Each session is 90 minutes. The number and frequency of the sessions is up to you, though we require a first-time minimum purchase of three 90 minute sessions. You can choose from any of the packages below or speak to us about designing your own custom package.
