Emily holds a BS in Biology and a BA in Anthropology from Brown University. She received the Fulbright Fellowship to conduct pediatric oncology research in the Netherlands. She then earned her Master's of Bioethics at Harvard Medical School, and has since returned as a medical student.

After graduation, she lived abroad in Madrid, Spain for two years pursuing a US Department of State Fulbright Scholarship and a Master’s degree in Marketing.
