In the US, Baoqing taught at the Western Michigan University before getting her MA in teaching Chinese at University of Massachusetts Amherst. Baoqing is currently a lecturer of Chinese at Boston University.

Sally is a software engineer at an EdTech company in Boston. She has a BA from Princeton University in Computer Science, where she researched high school computer science pedagogy and curriculum.
