Cole is a PhD student and Ella Pawling Graduate Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, studying observational cosmology by hunting for supernovae, dark matter, and gravitational wave events. Ubadah is a neuroscientist at MIT. He immigrated to the US and started community college when he was 16 years old. After spending three years there, he transferred to the University of Missouri, where he earned his BS in Biology. Ubadah then earned his PhD in Translational Biology, Medicine, and Health at Virginia Tech.
