Abhi grew up with the parents that asked “where’d the other 3 points go?” if he got a 97 on a test. Fortunately, it got him into two honors programs at UT Austin, for Business as well as History. As part of his History degree, he wrote a thesis on Indian history textbooks that was selected for the James Ferguson Prize for best history thesis. Through four years of a dual-degree program and graduating with high honors, he still didn’t have enough school, so Abhi stayed at UT Austin to attend the nation’s top Master of Accounting program. When he graduated from the MPA in 2014, Abhi went on to work at the prestigious management consulting firm Oliver Wyman. After two and a half years and two promotions, Abhi came to Harvard Divinity School in 2017 to pursue his dreams of becoming an author on Hinduism. Abhi is currently working through the last year of his Master of Theological Studies degree, and simultaneously trying to get his short stories published in literary magazines.
While he’s gone from liberal arts to business and back again, Abhi has picked up a knack for explaining a wide range of concepts to students in simple terms. His core strengths are in test preparation for the GRE and SAT. Abhi has formally tutored students at the high school, undergraduate, and graduate levels, and thrives in helping people craft the right story for an essay, grasp a historical concept, or learn a new test prep strategy.
Outside of his work, Abhi enjoys teaching others how to dance bhangra, making friends in new countries, and discussing Batman's ethics.
