Ever since elementary school, Aki has loved history. She received her BA from Bryn Mawr College, where she majored in History and graduated Cum Laude. Her undergraduate thesis, which focused upon Winston Churchill, earned her History Departmental honors and distinctions. As an undergraduate, she was also awarded the competitive and prestigious Hanna Holborn Gray Undergraduate Research Fellowship, which funded her independent investigation into military intelligence and Operation Market Garden. After college, Aki completed New York University’s two-year Pre-Medical Post-baccalaureate program, took the MCAT, and applied to medical school. Despite getting accepted into medical school, she decided to return to her true passion and has just completed her MA in the "History of Warfare" at King's College London.
