Alberto is originally from Vicenza, in Italy. He graduated in Mathematics, summa cum laude, at the University of Padua. He then came to Urbana Champaign Illinois where, contrary to all expectations, he had the 5 best years of his life on Campus, studying and teaching Mathematics, and connecting with international students. He graduated with a thesis on several complex variables, a GPA of 3.9/4, and two publications in international Math Journals.
He then decided to try his luck in the Finance arena, and took the opportunity to work in Paris, London, and Hong Kong for few years before coming back to the US. Since Graduate School he has always missed Mathematics and he has recently decided to dedicate part of his time to teaching and tutoring.
Alberto has taught and tutored for several years. He was a professor at an Italian high school, He taught advanced calculus at the University of Padua to a class with 300 students, and he was a TA at the University of Urbana-Champaign in Illinois for five years.
He enjoys explaining Mathematics, sharing his intuition and interest for the subject. He is approachable, he likes to think he is fun and able keep the audience interested.
In his spare time, Alberto enjoys preparing dinners for friends, practicing Tae Kwon Do, and the outdoors.
