Alex was born and raised in the suburbs south of Cleveland, Ohio, where he lived for 10 years before moving to Shanghai, China with his family. Upon finishing his studies at an international American high school in Shanghai, he attended Boston College and graduated with a BS in biology. After university, Alex completed a Master’s degree in medical sciences as well as a research thesis at Boston University’s Division of Graduate Medical Sciences. He is currently pursuing an MD at BU School of Medicine.
Alex has worked as both a teaching assistant and tutor for a medical school level histology course. His strengths include biology, chemistry, psychology, sociology, and test preparation for the MCAT. Alex is cognizant that students have unique strengths and weaknesses, and he carefully tailors learning plans for each student.
In his spare time, Alex enjoys listening to and making music, reading about the world, and seeking adventure.
