Alexis B.

Alexis is originally from Long Island, where she was about 10 minutes away from her favorite spot: the beach. During high school, she took AP Chemistry and discovered her passion for science; from there, she found the field of pharmacy. For college she committed to a six-year pharmacy program at Northeastern University, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s of Pharmaceutical Sciences and a minor in Psychology. She is currently completing her sixth year to obtain her Doctor of Pharmacy.

Alexis’ first experience with tutoring was as a Big Sister in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, working with her “little sister” on homework each week. From this experience, she realized that tutoring was something that she genuinely enjoyed. More recently, her clinical rotations have provided ample opportunities for her to educate and teach the other members of her interdisciplinary team, covering topics such as pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. As a medication expert Alexis has been able to support and strengthen the interdisciplinary team to enhance patient care, and hopes to help future students do the same. Aside from content development Alexis is available to assist with time management skills and study skills, as she has first-hand experience knowing that the amount of material covered can be difficult to balance and manage.

Outside of her studies, Alexis enjoys trying new foods, going to restaurants, traveling, and coloring. She is always open to new experiences and loves meeting new people along the way.
