Alyssa is originally from Connecticut, but between her family in Texas and her University of Virginia pride, she doesn’t feel like a northerner anymore. At the University of Virginia, she double majored in Political Philosophy, Policy and Law (PPL) and Spanish, graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Some of her favorite college experiences were study abroad and Alternative Spring Break trips, which brought her to Spain, Italy, Uruguay, Panama, and Ecuador. After college, Alyssa worked for three years consulting at Bain & Company in Boston, working for a variety of for-profit and non-profit clients all across the country and helping recruit new Associate Consultants. Now, she is a student at Harvard Business School and volunteers at the Boston Collegiate Charter School in her free time.
Through her volunteer activities and professional career, Alyssa has taught and coached students ranging from kindergarten to first year consulting analysts. At Cambridge Coaching, her core strengths include test preparation for the GMAT and LSAT, as well as business topics such as strategy, operations, and economics. She also has experience with a wide range of Spanish language topics, including literature, conversation, and writing. She is excited to work with students at all levels to help them prepare for tests or interviews and master these concepts.
Outside of her studies, Alyssa is working on improving her culinary skills by trying to make a few new dishes every week. She also loves to invite friends over for laughter-filled board game nights.
