Prior to living in NYC, Ana was born in Puerto Rico and spent most of her childhood in Orlando, FL. Ana is currently pursuing an MD at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Ana completed undergrad at the University of Miami, where she graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Neuroscience and a BA in Latin American Studies. She applied to medical schools during senior year of undergrad and started at Mount Sinai shortly after. She is applying to Pediatrics residency programs this year.
Ana has helped many of her undergraduate peers through the medical school application process. She was a pre-health mentor in undergrad, as well as a "First Year Fellow", helping guide 70 college freshman academically throughout their first year in college. She has also worked as a teacher through MedDOCS, a Mount Sinai program for high school students interested in learning more about physiology. With Cambridge Coaching, Ana delights in helping applicants through the medical school admissions process. Ana is also a native Spanish speaker and loves being a conversation partner.
For fun, Ana loves exploring the NYC restaurant scene, watching as many episodes of "The Office" as possible, and spending time outside whenever the weather is nice.
