Andrew received his bachelor’s degree in American History and English Literature from the College of William and Mary, holds a master’s degree from the University of Oxford, and is currently finishing up his Ph.D. on the history of non-profit philanthropic foundations at Columbia University in New York. In the city, he’s taught at Columbia, Barnard, and NYU and has worked for several years as a freelance writer/editor and as a research associate at Harvard University.
At Cambridge Coaching, Andrew has been tutoring middle, high school and college students for entrance exams, application consulting, AP tests, expository writing, and general academic subject support. He has a particularly good track record in helping students prepare for the SSAT, SAT, and GRE, and his former students have gained admission to schools Andover, Exeter, Choate, Riverdale, and Dalton, and universities like Princeton, Harvard, Stanford, Cornell, and Oxford – among many others! Andrew always aims to make material engaging to students and to help them realize their fullest potential.
Andrew is an avid organic gardener and lives outside of New York with his dog and six laying hens.
