Andrew grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, just a few miles from the utopian religious community on which he would eventually focus much of his academic work. He studied at the University of Pennsylvania and St. Andrews University before ultimately receiving his bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude with degrees in English literature and American studies. After graduating, Andrew moved to England temporarily to pursue a master’s degree at Oxford University in ecclesiastical history. Andrew is currently enrolled in Columbia University’s doctoral program in Religion.
Andrew has worked with all kinds of students and enjoys helping them to find the right approach to their material. He has tutored students in a range of subjects, from Spanish to history, and has helped numerous students prepare for the GRE and SAT.
In his free time, Andrew loves to go skiing in the winter and surfing in the summer.
