An amateur of calligraphy, Anthony has always found beauty in words. Anthony attended the University of Chicago on an Odyssey Scholarship and graduated with a BA in English Literature. Aside from focusing on 18th century English Romanticism, Anthony studied in Bologna, Italy where he taught English as a Second Language. An avid language enthusiast, Anthony considers his time spent learning Russian one of his most formative academic endeavors (Staten Island Technical High School required its study, and he has never left the language since). In 2016, Anthony traveled to Bucharest to learn more about the hybrid origins of Romanian, often forgotten as a Romance language. Anthony’s proficiency with foreign languages has considerably informed his teaching on syntactic, semantic, and phonetic levels.
Anthony uses his analytical skills and linguistic knowledge to help high school students prepare for the SAT. He also helps students of all levels improve their writing. Certified in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), Anthony volunteers weekly to help speakers of other languages learn English. At Cambridge Coaching, Anthony specializes in the SAT and teaching English as a Second Language.
Outside of tutoring, you can find Anthony reading, running, perusing foreign language dictionaries, and tuning into Jeopardy.
