Ariel was born in Santa Monica, CA but has lived in New York City since she was twelve and considers herself a proud New Yorker. She attended Professional Children’s School (to accommodate her schedule at the School of American Ballet) where she discovered her love of literature, writing, history, french and math. Next, at Barnard College, she was an English major, Dance minor and held many internships in NYC. After graduating, she worked in many different capacities, including as a researcher for a published anthology, a fundraiser for the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, a fund development manager for BOOM!Health, and a marketing assistant for a renowned multimedia artist. Ariel is currently a student at Columbia Business School where she focuses on finance, philanthropy, leadership and organizational change. She spent her summer working in Private Wealth Management at Goldman Sachs. At CBS, Ariel is VP of Fundraising for Microlumbia, a CMC Fellow, and an Alumni Representative.
From a very young age (even in elementary school), Ariel has always enjoyed acting as a mentor and tutor for fellow students, which she still does in graduate school. At Cambridge Coaching, she helps students with their application processes for both college and MBA programs, and provides general homework and study skills tutoring.
In her spare time, Ariel continues to be involved with the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History as a member of the President’s Council, frequently attends both ballet and opera performances, enjoys cycling and yoga, and has recently taken up skiing (very much a beginner!).
