Babajide, or Jide as his friends call him, was born in Nigeria then raised Georgia. Jide earned his Bachelors of Science in Microbiology from the University of Georgia (UGA) in 2011 with high honors. He was introduced to scientific research through the CURO Honors Scholarship at UGA. Through his thesis work at UGA he earned the UGA Libraries Undergraduate Research Award, as well as the nationally coveted UNCF-Merck Research Scholarship Award. Currently, he is pursuing a MD and a PhD in Molecular Pharmacology at NYU School of Medicine.

Jide loves science and has years of tutoring experience working with students ranging from those in kindergarten to those in college level courses. His core academic strengths include chemistry, biology, and mathematics.

In his spare time, Jide loves to draw and play basketball. He also enjoys capturing beautiful moments through his camera lens.
