Bassel has an MS in Civil Engineering from MIT and a BS in Engineering from Harvard. He has taught college classes ranging from probability and statistics to modern history, giving him a firm background in teaching students a wide range of subjects. His interest in teaching first began when he was a teaching assistant for various college courses, including one course on Middle Eastern history and another course on probability and statistics for engineers. While his background is in engineering, he equally enjoys preparing students for the quantitative and verbal sections of the GMAT and GRE.
Bassel is most passionate when teaching test prep, including content, test strategies, and time management. He has completed over 900 hours of graduate test prep. While he mostly works with students preparing for the GMAT and the GRE, he has also worked with students on other graduate entrance exams. Bassel is also fluent in French and Arabic.
In his free time, he enjoys chess, hiking, and playing tennis.
