Cassandra is from Long Island, NY and a long line of pediatricians. She attended the University of Virginia on a four-year, full cost of attendance scholarship with a double major in Human Biology and Spanish. There, she was fortunate enough to explore her passions: four years of research in oncology, two years studying abroad, extensive public health and bioethics coursework, and membership in an a cappella group. After graduating in May 2020, she went straight into the NYU Grossman School of Medicine, with dreams of becoming an adult or pediatric oncologist.
Cassandra has been tutoring for over five years in subjects including biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics, as well as in test preparation for the SAT, ACT, and MCAT. She loves mentoring in any capacity, from teaching elementary students about nutrition and fitness to advising incoming college students on course selection, organization skills, and finding a direction they’re passionate about. Whether working with a patient or a student, Cassandra believes compassion, active-listening, and a commitment to continued partnership are paramount.
In her free time, she enjoys trying to visit every single restaurant in NYC once, keeping up with her favorite Youtube fitness instructors, and all things music.
