Before moving to New York in 2013, Cathy was born and raised in New Jersey (which was not all that bad despite what her fellow New Yorkers say). She attended Wellesley College where she majored in anthropology, won the Organic Chemistry Award, and graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Subsequently, she conducted research in Pediatric Nephrology and earned her MS in Narrative Medicine from Columbia, winning the Wellesley College Sarah Perry Wood Medical Fellowship. Cathy is currently pursuing her MD at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Cathy loves helping students craft applications, and finds great satisfaction in seeing them matriculate to their top choices. At Cambridge Coaching, she enjoys sharing the tips and tricks she learned over her own medical school application cycle with her students.
In her free time, Cathy enjoys crafting, playing violin, snuggling with her cats, and singing karaoke very badly but with a lot of spirit.
