Christina attended the University of Houston, graduating in 2019 with a degree in media production where she focused on film production. After creating a short film her senior year, she was granted admission to the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts for the graduate film production program, but she ultimately chose to attend the Yale School of Management as a Silver Scholar. The Silver Scholars program is a selective MBA program for students coming straight from their undergraduate degree with no prior work experience. After graduating with an MBA in May 2021, Christina will attend the UCLA School of Law with a Dean’s Scholarship where she intends to focus on Entertainment Law. As a Disney fanatic, she hopes to have a legal career at the Walt Disney Company post-graduation.
Standardized tests have always intrigued Christina, and when she was first exposed to the GMAT, she found that she really enjoyed having to use a broad spectrum of skills to successfully answer the questions. In fact, the reason she decided to apply to business school was because she actually found the GMAT to be fun. Scoring a 780, she began to tutor the GMAT during her first year as an MBA. Christina especially enjoys tailoring her tutoring process to each individual student. To Christina, the most satisfying parts of being a tutor are creating customized study plans to help students achieve their goals and then seeing the students actually achieve their goals.
During her free time, Christina takes walks around New Haven, hangs out with friends, or cooks. She also makes sure to carve time out to enjoy a movie or a new series (for now, that’s Wanda Vision).
