Claire started tutoring when she herself was in high school, and she's been teaching ever since! After graduating as valedictorian, she left Ann Arbor (Go Blue!) for New York City, specifically Barnard College and Columbia University, where she taught calculus and writing as a member of the Writing Fellows program. She majored in American History, winning the Ellen Davis Goldwater prize for excellence in history, and she also minored in math just for fun, flummoxing classmates and reasonable people everywhere.

Since finishing college in 2011, she's tutored everything from elementary to graduate school, all while pursuing her other lifelong passion, dance.

When she's not teaching or dancing, she also works as a freelance writer and editor.
