Dan was born in San Francisco and grew up in Buffalo, NY. After high school, he attended Harvard College in Cambridge, MA. At Harvard, Dan conducted research in disease ecology and pathogen evolution while also being a four-year member of the varsity football team. He graduated cum laude in 2011 with a BA in Human Evolutionary Biology. After college, Dan studied primate retroviruses as a DAAD Graduate Scholar in Germany and Cote d’Ivoire. Currently, Dan is an MD candidate at Harvard Medical School.
Dan has always had a passion for the sciences, and he enjoys being able to share his enthusiasm for the material with the students he tutors. He is especially fond of evolutionary biology and he appreciates the manner in which evolution has a hand in nearly all facets of biology. He is experienced in tutoring MCAT, SAT, and scientific coursework.
Outside of school, Dan enjoys traveling, trying new foods, and rooting (usually in vain) for the Buffalo Bills.
