David was born in southeast China but grew up mostly around Indianapolis, Indiana. He spent his undergraduate years at Harvard, where he picked up his taste for (or more precisely, addiction to) coffee and studied mostly biochemistry and related fields. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a GPA of 3.92/4.0 in Chemical and Physical Biology. Having realized his passion for applying the sciences to helping make a positive difference in the lives of others, David matriculated to Harvard Medical School and is currently pursuing his MD in the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology (HST) Program.
David’s first tutoring experiences came in high school, where he was the president of a peer tutoring program. In college, he became a course assistant in multiple chemistry and biology courses. Nowadays, he focuses his tutoring on chemistry and biology as well as test preparation for the MCAT (39R) and SAT (2350). In addition, he has mentored multiple premedical students in all aspects of the medical school application process, from picking courses and extracurricular activities to choosing schools and crafting personal statements.
In his leisure time, David enjoys running along the Charles River, sipping iced coffee from Crema Cafe, and more recently, catching Pokémon.
