Dmitry immigrated to the United States from Belarus at the age of 6 and, in between binging on  the newly abundant supply of candy, burgers, and The Simpsons, he attended Stuyvesant High School in New York City. He next followed his passion for languages to Middlebury College, where he focused his studies on French, German, and Political Science, graduating magna cum laude and a Dana Scholar. Three semesters studying abroad in Paris and Berlin solidified his lifelong obsession with Europe. Subsequently, he completed a Master’s in Development Economics at the Sorbonne in Paris.

Long ago in a galaxy far, far away (St. Petersburg), Dmitry taught English to students K-12 and fell in love with teaching. After his stint as an environmentalist, he gladly returned to this passion and began tutoring the GMAT, GRE, and SAT. Dmitry has amassed many happy students who respond to his relaxed, yet focused style of teaching, and his friendly and approachable personality. He truly finds joy in teaching.

Dmitry is passionate about making positive environmental changes: he has canvassed to ban fracking in New York State, managed organic farms, and worked on sustainability initiatives on a coffee farm in Colombia. Additionally, Dmitry loves comedy, music, running, and travelling to Europe. Nothing makes him happier than a good cheese, good beer, and good friends to share it with.
