Drew grew up in Portland, Maine but moved south to Memphis, Tennessee the year before his beloved Red Sox broke the curse of the Bambino. He began the long road back north by moving to Pennsylvania to study philosophy at the Templeton Honors College at Eastern University, where he graduated summa cum laude. He recently reclaimed New England as home and matriculated in the PhD program in the philosophy department at Boston College, where he is a fellow at the Lonergan Institute.
Drew loves working with students. During his first year at BC, Drew served as a teaching assistant in the psychology department. He worked previously as an English tutor at Esperanza College. Drew has a penchant for editing papers, and has been known to do so at any and every hour of the day. Drew enjoys tutoring students in a range of academic subjects from history, to philosophy, to writing and political science; and helping them prepare for standardized tests such as the SAT and GRE. Drew is a very versatile instructor to is highly sensitive to his students’ aptitudes and goals for tutoring; he enjoys working with students to come up with the approaches that work best for their needs.
When he can find free time, Drew enjoys biking around Boston, frequenting used book stores, and engaging in long discussions over several cups of coffee.
