Eden is from Cleveland, Ohio, home of the 2016 NBA Champions and almost home of the 2016 MLB Champions! She attended Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT and graduated in 2012 with an honors degree in psychology. Her thesis focused on PTSD and alcohol abuse in Vietnam veterans and was awarded the Walkley Prize for best original research in psychology. Post-Wesleyan, Eden moved to Boston to work as a researcher for the Department of Defense and Department of Veterans Affairs on a number of studies aimed at better understanding the impact of combat on the brain. She has published multiple articles on combat psychology and related topics. While at the VA, Eden decided to attend medical school. She left the VA to complete a pre-medical school program at Tufts University and has been admitted to medical school for the Fall of 2017.
Eden has worked as a tutor and teacher intermittently for about eight years. She has taught and tutored in the basic sciences, SPSS syntax, and math and has worked with students ranging from elementary school to college-aged. Her strengths include MCAT (99th percentile), SAT (98th percentile) and ACT (99th percentile) prep, and chemistry.
Outside of tutoring, Eden loves to read (especially nonfiction!), play with her two poorly trained dogs, and cook fancy food!
