Edgardo was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where his family still lives and where he visits once or twice a year. He graduated summa cum laude from the Universidad de Puerto Rico in 2011, obtaining a BA in Hispanic Studies. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Romance Studies at Boston University.

Edgardo is a Teaching Fellow at Boston University, where he teaches all levels of Spanish and Hispanic Literatures to undergraduate students. He specializes in teaching Spanish as a foreign language, and has deep tutoring experience at all levels, ranging from elementary to professional. Edgardo is passionate about teaching Spanish through immersive cultural experiences that help students develop practical communication skills for real-life scenarios.

Outside of work, Edgardo enjoys traveling, reading, practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and cooking.
