Emily C.

Emily graduated from Connecticut College with a BA in history with a focus on gender and women’s studies, and a minor in mathematics. Upon graduation she was inducted into the Alpha Pi Beta National History Honor Society. While a student, she successfully completed Connecticut College's accredited teacher certification program, including the state certification exams in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Currently, Emily is a candidate at Harvard Graduate School of Education pursuing a Master of Education in Learning and Teaching.

Emily was always excited about teaching, and spent her undergraduate years volunteering and student teaching in local classrooms. During the summer after her junior year, she was a teaching assistant in an algebra classroom at the Phillips Andover Summer Session. Emily taught full time for three years at The Ethel Walker School in Connecticut, teaching trigonometry, precalculus, and calculus, and coaching the ski team. As an academic with many hats, Emily enjoys tutoring history and mathematics.  She also has a knack for helping students raise their test scores on the SSAT and ISEE.
