Evan attended college at Johns Hopkins University, double-majoring in Neuroscience and Molecular and Cellular Biology. After graduating with a 4.0 GPA and Phi Beta Kappa, he took a research year in pediatric neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital. Evan currently is a medical student at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he is striving to balance his passions for music and medicine.
Evan tutored AP science classes and worked as a Teaching Assistant during his undergraduate career. His experience teaching introductory courses has developed his ability to identify students’ individual needs and prepare appropriate teaching materials. His core strengths include biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and test preparation for the MCAT (38). Evan strongly believes that being a tutor is also about being a mentor and delights in fostering a love of science and education in students he works with.
Outside of his studies, Evan enjoys bothering his neighbors playing jazz on his alto saxophone and belting musical theatre songs. As of now he has still not won the Hamilton lottery but still enters daily.
