When Ian was a kid the most common reason he got put in time-out was for stealing his Mom’s stethoscope. Ian has been chasing his passion for healthcare ever since. He attended the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and a minor in Chemistry. He was selected to receive the President’s Engagement prize, a $200,000 grant, to implement an innovative model of health care delivery for homeless individuals that he and a partner developed. Ian is a Registered Nurse and will matriculate into medical school in the fall of 2018.

Ian has been tutoring students at Penn for three years in Human Anatomy and Physiology. In addition to teaching this difficult subject he also assists these freshman students with the overall transition to college. Ian frequently created study guides for his nursing classmates on all topics. Ian excelled on both the SAT and the MCAT and is skilled at ensuring success on these exams.

Beyond the classroom you can find Ian training for marathons (slowly!), drinking unhealthy amounts of coffee, or fast asleep “watching” House Hunters.
