Ilham S.


Born and raised in Syria, Ilham is a native Arabic speaker, and has been teaching Arabic to students of all ages for many years. Her students have included Master’s students working abroad or about to embark on intensive language courses, children transitioning to new schools, police academy members involved in community outreach projects, and college students joining advanced language courses. 

She is a civil engineer by training, and a mother of four (three of whom attended Harvard College, and the fourth, Stanford University). Currently, Ilham lives in Los Angeles with her husband. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, sewing, and baking.
