Jeemin’s passion for medicine was sparked in her 7th grade science classroom (thank you Mrs. Bliss!) where she got to dissect frogs, eyeballs, and even a set of heart and lungs. She continued to learn about biological systems both in the classroom and in a research lab studying the neurobiology of Alzheimer’s at Yale, graduating with a degree in molecular, cellular, & developmental biology. After college, she returned home to the Bay Area to work at a diabetes nonprofit for two years where she ran an online patient education platform and developed an interest in public health. Jeemin is currently an MD candidate at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
Jeemin enjoys getting to know her students and being a supportive mentor in addition to providing tutoring services. She has experience tutoring high school and college students in addition to guiding college and medical school applications. At Cambridge Coaching, she has thoroughly enjoyed coaching MCAT students through the preparation process, and continuing with them on their medical school application strategy.
In her free time, Jeemin enjoys baking and cooking for her friends, keeping up with the latest TV shows, and exploring Philadelphia’s food scene.
