Jingyu L.


Jingyu completed her undergraduate work in mainland China in Chinese language and literature. She holds an MA from Harvard University in Regional Studies of East Asia and an MPhil from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in Chinese Studies. She is currently a PhD candidate at Harvard University. 

As an immigrant scholar raised in China yet educated internationally, Jingyu has long prioritized diversified and dialogical viewpoints in teaching and mentoring. She has been recognized for excellence in teaching through the Outstanding Teaching Assistant Certificate at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. At Harvard, she has acquired extensive experience teaching in lecture courses, seminars and one-on-one. 

She enjoys tutoring students in a wide range of humanities subjects, and she excels at tailoring curricula to students’ strengths. Besides, she has written many proposals for a variety of purposes such as research projects, conferences, and fellowships, and thus has a special interest in strategizing and crafting successful application essays for academic programs and fellowships.
