Joanna attended Wesleyan University; in 2018, she earned her BA with high honors in chemistry and mathematics. She now attends Northwestern University and is pursuing a PhD in chemistry. Joanna is specifically studying topics in organic, polymer chemistry.
Though she spent most of her undergraduate years living in her research lab, Joanna found time to serve as a teaching assistant for both organic chemistry lecture and lab courses. She also previously tutored local middle school and elementary school students in math and worked as a teaching assistant for an introductory physics course.
Outside of academics, Joanna enjoys playing with cats and testing how much coffee she can drink without exploding.
