By day, Joe is a healthcare consultant, designing strategies and brokering deals for innovative companies in biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, and diagnostics. Joe has an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a Master’s of Science from the Harvard-MIT Department of Health Sciences and Technology, where his thesis on cancer genetics and drug commercialization won the prestigious Richard J. Thomas Prize. He also has an AB in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard University (cum laude).
A longtime tutor, Joe specializes in standardized tests such as the GMAT (790/800 and 6.0/6.0 analytical writing) and SAT (1590/1600). He has passed all 3 levels of the CFA exam, as well as the NASD Series 7, 63, 86, and 87. In addition, Joe enjoys helping others craft winning essays for top business schools such as MIT Sloan and Wharton. He has also guest-lectured on financial modeling in healthcare at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering.
Outside of his work, Joe loves powerlifting, hiking, volunteering, investing, cooking, and craft beer. Finally, he is writing the next great fantasy epic in a world of ancient spirits, deadly court intrigue, and (of course) dragons.
