Jon grew up in Iowa City in a lively household alongside two older brothers and one younger sister. He graduated from Loyola University Chicago summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, with departmental honors in both chemistry and math. Jon worked on the south side of Chicago to provide healthcare to the underserved elderly population, which confirmed Jon’s decision to pursue medicine. He currently studies at Harvard Medical School, where he plans to further our understanding of therapies used in the treatment of heart disease.
Jon discovered his passion for tutoring and mentoring at Loyola and has been engaged with these two pursuits ever since. Throughout undergrad, Jon led tutoring for the math club and served as a peer tutor/mentor with programs designed to ensure the success of disadvantaged students. At Cambridge Coaching, in addition to tutoring broadly in the sciences, Jon helps students discover and hone their organizational and study skills. This comprehensive approach allows students to balance their busy schedules while achieving classroom excellence. Jon also specializes in multimodal and interactive teaching strategies to improve long-term retention of classroom material.
In his free time, Jon enjoys hiking with his fiancée, cooking, reading short fiction, and getting together with friends.
