Joshua was born and raised in Memphis, TN. During his high school years, he was awarded 4th Grand Prize at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) for his patented novel method of wastewater treatment. His passion for research followed him to college at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, where he conducted research in a molecular and cellular biology lab, and graduated with a BA in Neuroscience. He now lives in New York City where he is a DDS Candidate at Columbia College of Dental Medicine.
Joshua strives to combine scientific research and pedagogy to improve clinical experiences for his future patients. He has extensive test prep experience in the SAT, ACT, and DAT. He has also worked as a teaching assistant for multiple courses, ranging from biological sciences to multivariable calculus. His concise and effective teaching methods have helped students from different socioeconomic backgrounds succeed and achieve their dreams. Now, he focuses on providing tutoring and admissions coaching for aspiring dental students.
In his free time, Joshua enjoys playing the violin and playing basketball and soccer with friends. Mesmerized by the uncanny similarities between cooking and chemistry, he also enjoys cooking and eating delicious foods.
