Julia grew up in New York City and attended Princeton University, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude in 2008. After college, she worked in Sub-Saharan Africa to improve access to healthcare in rural communities. She went on to Harvard Medical School and is currently completing her Internal Medicine Residency at NYU, before beginning a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Care at Ichan School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Julia has always loved to teach. When she was in the 10th grade, she led writing workshops for students who were falling behind in school. She devoted her extracurricular time at Princeton to running a program aimed at helping students be the first in their families to attend college. When she graduated, Julia promoted health literacy by teaching Spanish-speakers how to navigate Bellevue, New York City’s oldest hospital. She has been a Cambridge Coaching tutor since 2012, and her area of expertise is medical school admissions coaching.
In her free time, you can find Julia playing with her pup, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, cooking a new recipe or listening to Brazilian music.
