Kavya was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. He graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Harvard College in 2023 with a joint degree in Chemical & Physical Biology and Statistics. Currently, Kavya is studying computational biology at the University of Cambridge as a Marshall Scholar. After his time in England, Kavya will attend medical school. He is interested in researching avenues for healthier aging, and has worked at the Harvard Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Novartis.
Kavya has over five years of teaching experience, from tutoring students for AP exams and the SAT/ACT, to serving as a Teaching Fellow for statistics and life sciences courses at Harvard. In the latter role, Kavya was twice awarded Harvard’s Derek Bok Certificate for Distinction in Teaching. Kavya is passionate about tailoring his teaching to meet the individual needs of his students, and recognizes the importance of longitudinal support.
