Kevin grew up in Sharon, MA, a small suburb right outside of Boston. After graduating high school, he attended Northwestern University in Evanston, IL in pursuit of a Biochemistry degree. His original intention was to attend medical school, but upon realizing his passions lay elsewhere, he took year off to teach English in China and travel the world. When he returned to the US, he transferred to New York University to study Mathematics, Economics, and Philosophy.
Kevin has over 8 years of experience tutoring students from 1st grade all the way to freshmen in college; however, the majority of his experience has been working with high school students. His strongest subjects are Algebra, Pre-calculus, Trigonometry, SAT Critical Reading, SAT Math, Calculus, Chemistry, and Physics. In addition to these subjects, he also has had experience teaching SAT Subject Tests, Economics, and Philosophy. As a tutor, he takes an interdisciplinary approach to teaching, drawing on a multitude of academic perspectives to help his students learn, taking the time to ensure comprehensive understanding. He loves this process, as well as the relationships that develop from it.
Outside of work, you can usually find him with his head still buried in a book; otherwise, he’s likely doing something outdoors, playing music, or travelling the globe! If you get a chance, tell him about a book you’ve recently picked up or an interesting travel experience you’ve had.
