Leah grew up in the suburbs of Cincinnati, Ohio and attended Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri for her undergraduate studies. She graduated with a BA in Biochemistry and with minors in Music and Healthcare Management. In 2017, she ventured out of the Midwest to Boston, where she worked for a year as a surgical assistant at a dermatology clinic. After falling in love with the city, she decided to stay another four years for medical school at Boston University School of Medicine.
Leah enjoys helping others and is a big believer in mentorship. She has tutoring experience with elementary and high-school students and in topics such as college-level biology and chemistry. She has particular interest in pre-medical and medical education and currently is conducting research in that area. She is also on a number of committees at her medical school that are working to improve student life and education. In addition to the admissions process, Leah also enjoys helping students prepare for the MCAT.
In her free time, Leah enjoys exploring the music and theatre scene in Boston. She also loves hiking, coffee, and catching up with her family and friends. On a casual Saturday morning, you might see her video chatting with her little sister at your local coffee shop!
