Luke hails from sunny, beachside South Florida, where he spent his days avoiding the beach and sun in favor of studying or performing in a theater. Luke fled Florida to attend Dartmouth College, where he graduated as a cum laude Fulbright finalist with a history and Italian with Honors modified with theater double major. After spending 15 months teaching English and Italian both privately and through Dartmouth College in Rome, Italy, Luke moved to New York to pursue his lifelong goal of producing meaningful and challenging theater. Luke is currently a producer on the Broadway hit, Slave Play.
For the past ten years, Luke has helped middle and high school students prepare for all sections of the SAT, ACT, SSAT, and ISEE. Apart from his work in test preparation, Luke enjoys ESL tutoring and supporting younger students in developing study and organizational strategies. Luke strives to connect with students on a personal level and to tailor his lessons accordingly to meet their personalities and needs.
Outside of tutoring and producing theater, Luke is an avid runner–he’s run half marathons in four of five boroughs. Luke also enjoys hiking, camping, debating film theory and exploring the myriad and diverse food options in New York City and beyond.
