Matt grew up in Massachusetts, but always wished he was a little further north, where the mountains are! He studied at Dartmouth College for undergrad, graduating magna cum laude with a double major in Government and Earth Sciences. While in college, he spent many late nights working as Executive Editor of the daily newspaper, The Dartmouth, and climbed all 48 4000-foot peaks in New Hampshire as a leader in the Dartmouth Outing Club. He also lived for a summer in Amman, worked for the Massachusetts state government, and conducted glacial geomorphology research (read: trudging through mud) in Vermont! Matt will be pursuing a JD at UC Berkeley Law beginning in August 2021.
Matt has spent over six years working as a tutor. He currently specializes in the LSAT! Matt studied hard for the LSAT, ultimately improving by 15 points and scoring a perfect 180 on test day. He has leveraged that experience to help his students improve their own scores by nearly 10 points, and he’s excited to work with students on any and all aspects of the LSAT!
When he’s not tutoring, Matt can usually be found somewhere on the side of a mountain, hiking, climbing, or cycling. He currently lives in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, in a town with an elevation nine times greater than its population. Despite the lack of paved roads or decent weather, Matt thinks it’s the perfect place to get out adventuring.
