Olivia originally hails from Boston, though she's now proud to call New York City her home (where her Boston Red Sox gear definitely stands out). Before moving to New York, Olivia graduated cum laude from Harvard College with a BA in English and a minor in Theater Performance. At Harvard, she took every course offered on Jane Austen (her favorite author) and was extremely active in the theatrical scene, working with the Harvard Radcliffe Dramatic Club, Harvard Radcliffe Gilbert and Sullivan Players, and Harvard College Opera. After graduating Harvard, she completed her MFA in Acting from Brown University.
Olivia has an extensive background in tutoring, focusing in the humanities; she tutors English and History courses, AP courses in US History, the SSAT & ISEE, World History, and English Language and Composition. Olivia also specializes in the college application process, working closely with students and their families through each step of the journey. In fact, helping students develop their personal essay is Olivia's favorite part of the college application process because it is such a creative and rewarding journey for everyone involved. A true bookworm, Olivia most enjoys helping students discover a love of reading, storytelling, and personal expression through writing. With comprehensive support and guidance, there is so much joy to be found in this work!
Outside of tutoring, Olivia works professionally both as an actor and an educator, and she loves using her experience in graduate acting studies to help make Shakespeare more accessible for those studying the Bard in an academic setting.
