Paul attended Yale, where he majored in History and Russian and East European Studies and graduated with honors. His thesis and work relating to the revolution in Ukraine was selected to be presented at a policy conference. After Yale, he moved to Samara, Russia for one year as the recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship. Returning to America, Paul then worked at a Washington, D.C. think tank focusing on U.S., Russia, China affairs. He then received a Schwarzman Fellowship and moved to Beijing, China where he completed a Master’s in Global Affairs and a concentration in International Business and Economics. Paul is now back in Washington, D.C. working for the federal government as the recipient of yet another fellowship, this time the Presidential Management Fellowship.
Paul has worked as a tutor and writing advisor for several years. He has experience tutoring students from middle school through college from all over the world. He has worked with students to craft college and scholarship application essays. His core areas include test preparation for the GRE and the SAT as well as History, Math, and English. As a result of his SAT scores, Paul was named a U.S. Presidential Scholar as the sole male representative from Washington, D.C.
Outside of his work, Paul is an avid soccer player, and was actually a member of a semi-pro team while living in Beijing. His remaining spare time is consumed by hikes with Jackson, his Golden Retriever.
