When Pooja was young, she spent a lot of time exploring new places, which was easy since her family moved approximately every two years. Pooja attended college at Cornell University, graduating with a degree in biology. After graduating, she worked for two years at the University of Pennsylvania, where she published both a first and second author scientific paper on her work. She then completed her Masters at NYU and worked at the pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim as an R&D scientist. Pooja is currently in the process of getting her PhD in Immunology at Weill Cornell Medical College.
Apart from an interest in biology, Pooja is a SAT test prep mentor for Minds Matter, a nonprofit organization dedicated to mentoring underprivileged high school kids and preparing them for college. Pooja’s tutoring strengths include the SATs (2340), GRE, biology, geometry, and other academic subjects. She has also had extensive experience mentoring students and editing college or graduate school essays.
In her spare time Pooja plays tennis, is an avid reader, and loves exploring new countries and cultures.
