Raj D.

Raj was born in Dallas, Texas and is a proud fan of the Cowboys despite having spent the majority of his childhood in Chicago. In high school, Raj achieved a perfect ACT score along with perfect SAT Subject Test scores in Math II and Chemistry, and 5’s on numerous AP math and science exams. With an avid interest in science and medicine, he went on to Rice University to complete a BA in Biochemistry and Cell Biology with a 3.99/4.00 GPA (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa). Raj is currently pursuing an MD at Northwestern’s Feinberg School of Medicine.

Raj has tutored a variety of students from different backgrounds and is experienced in personalizing study plans and schedules to accommodate each student’s individual needs and goals. Raj is especially skilled in tutoring chemistry, biochemistry, biology, and test preparation for the MCAT, ACT, and SAT Subject Tests in Math and Chemistry. He also has extensive experience tutoring middle school and high school students in math and science subjects. Additionally, having served as an interviewer for the Rice University Office of Admissions, Raj has experience with the college admissions process.

In his free time, Raj loves to both play and watch basketball (he’s a big-time Lakers fan), rewatch his favorite movies (Inception, The Dark Knight, Kal Ho Naa Ho), play board games, and order spicy potato soft tacos at Taco Bell.
