Sam started playing soccer when she was five years old and has maintained an appetite for competition ever since. After growing up in Indiana and moving to Seattle to attend the University of Washington (UW), she graduated with a BS in bioengineering (summa cum laude). She is currently pursuing an MD at Columbia Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons
During her undergraduate years, she enjoyed tutoring and mentoring her peers through the department of bioengineering and the Center for Learning and Undergraduate Enrichment. She also enjoyed teaching elementary, middle and high school students during school breaks and on the UW soccer fields. Sam enjoys connecting with students of all ages, backgrounds, and identities to form strong mentoring relationships. Her tutoring strengths are in core subjects of chemistry, biology, mathematics, physics and engineering. She also specializes in MCAT and medical school application preparation.
In her free time, Sam enjoys riding her bike, exploring new places to eat, and playing pick-up soccer and basketball.
