A native of Raleigh, NC, Sanjay attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Morehead-Cain Scholar and graduated with a BSPH in Nutrition with Highest Honors and Highest Distinction (3.9/4.0), and Phi Beta Kappa. During his time at UNC-CH, Sanjay led the American Mock World Health Organization and Honors Carolina Student Board, did research on type-1 diabetes in China, and worked as a medical scribe in the emergency department and a care manager at UNC’s student-run clinic. His work has also taken him to Nicaragua, Washington DC, and the World Health Organization’s HQ in Geneva, Switzerland. Currently, he is an MD candidate at Harvard Medical School.
Sanjay served as a TA for anatomy at UNC, through which he developed an understanding of how to organize and communicate complex topics in an easily understood manner. He also has a skill for putting himself in the shoes of someone new to the material and building up from there. At Cambridge Coaching, he enjoys helping future doctors navigate the application process. Sanjay also specializes in tutoring students in the MCAT, as well as their science and mathematics courses.
Outside of school and tutoring, Sanjay enjoys making art (having completed a minor in studio art), going to the gym, and spending time with friends.
