Sarah grew up in the suburbs of Chicago where she learned to take advantage of summer in its brevity, developing passions such as water-skiing, kayaking, sailing, and swimming. She then went to Johns Hopkins for her undergrad degree, graduating with university honors in 2011 and a double major in psychology and creative writing. After graduation, she spent time working in the Hopkins admissions office reviewing applications and meeting with perspective students. She’s now earning an MBA at Columbia, specializing in management strategy and finance.
Sarah has a vast amount of tutoring experience that spans over 7 years. She’s worked with students on specific subjects, including topics in business, statistics, expository writing, history and mathematics, and test prep for exams such as the ACT, SAT, and GRE, and generalized study skills for students with organizational struggles or learning disabilities. She’s also leveraged her experience in the admissions office to review application essays of rising seniors.
In her free time, she likes dog watching in central park, testing out new recipes in the kitchen, and writing/directing sketch comedy videos.
