Sophie was born in France and moved to New York City in elementary school. After graduating from St. Ann’s School, she pursued a degree in Comparative Literature at Dartmouth College, graduating with honors. She also received a Master’s in Public Administration at NYU’s Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service, which combines the study of public policy and management. As the Strategic Partnerships Advisor for ThriveNYC, Sophie leads partnership strategy and partnership implementation focused on building awareness of and reduce stigma around mental health, strengthening mental health programs and services, and enhancing the position of ThriveNYC as a leader in the field.
Alongside her interests in policy and partnership development, Sophie loves to teach. She began teaching in college; she worked as a writing, French and Spanish tutor at Dartmouth’s tutoring center, and also tutored elementary school students from the local community. Her interest in languages took her Tribeca Language after college, where she was the School manager and head Spanish and French instructor, designing curricula and teaching students aged 3 to adult. Sophie has also tutored privately for nearly 10 years and particularly enjoys helping students with language learning, writing and admissions.
In her free time, Sophie can be found having fun with inversions in yoga class, reading fiction, or exploring the 5 boroughs with her husband and dog, Louie.
